"So,what exactly do you do at Superhuman Lab?" "Whatever it takes."
My philosophy in programming for athletes is that it is not a dictatorship; it is a collaborative process. While I am hired for my expertise I have found that if my ideas are too conflicting with what your desires are then it does not make for a cooperative collaboration. That is why my goal is to make sure we are a fit before we begin! Here are a few questions to think about and please feel free to email me any questions ryan@mysuperhumanlab.com
1.) How Far Out Are You From Goal?
Short Range: 1 - 4 weeks
Medium Range: 1 - 3 months
Long Range: 3 - 6+ months
2.) Do You Have Any Red Flags?
Pain that is affecting your training
Unable to perform a task for your athletic event
A specific problem or concern that is consistently occupying your thoughts
3.) How Much Assistance Is Needed?
Which sentence best describes you?
"I feel good but want to make sure everything is tuned up before competition day"
"Other than this one problem my training is going great"
"I'm a mess and am having multiple set backs"

Do you take insurance? We do not take insurance however it is not uncommon for clients to use their Health Savings Account (HSA). It is up to the policy holder whether or not they will cover our services or dispute it. If disputed it is up you the client to reimburse the policy holder. Luckily, we have not seen this being a problem.

I am not an athlete but I am in pain, can Superhuman Lab help me? "I can understand being intimidated by the name and yes I do special in athletes but "athlete" is really a litmus test to ensure that you come prepped with 2 things: 1.) A measureable goal with a timeline. 2.) Commited to the process and willing to do the work necessary. How we define athlete is a little bit different at SHL. Some of my most outstanding clients may not have considered themselves "athletes" but them came prepared, did the work, and had great success!

What If I have to cancel last minute?I understand that life can definitely get in the way and sometimes people need a little grace. I always give everyone a "FREE PASS" each year. After that we will charge full price for missed appointments. We do this: 1.) To keep you accountable to your goals. 2.) Many people feel terrible when they miss their appointment. Paying for the session allows them to clear their conscious of any guilt and get back to regular scheduled programming. We consider last minute cancellations anything under 24 hours notice. This does not count if weather does not permit.

Will your work interfere with my competition prep?Every sport is different but yes we adjust work depending on when competion day is. If we are a few weeks out we are able to get away with more deep work but as we get closer to competition we back off. Night before or day of competition work is more of a "flush out." We want you to feel fresh for competition and not feel the residual effect of the work.
